Dear Friends,

"The Generals of revival call to us from history, 'If you pray, He will come!'"

God has chosen to act in the affairs of men in response to prayer.  It has been our sense that there is a fresh wave beginning to flow in the state.  The Executive Board gathered during the first week of January and took a day to seek the Lord and this is what He said to us (Hab 2:1).

Born in our hearts on that day was what we are calling "The New Hampshire Challenge."  Our strategy is modeled on Jonathan Edward's essay "A Humble Attempt..."  You can download an edited pdf of the essay by Clicking Here.

In specific terms, here is "The New Hampshire Challenge":

"Until revival comes, let's consecrate every Fifth Friday for the purpose of united prayer for revival.  Community prayer meetings should be organized on a county basis. Testimonies will be emailed to every church the following day with an invitation to join with this prayer effort for a few minutes during their Sunday morning service.  Our faith for multiplied prayer meetings will be tracked on our websites until He comes."

After the successes of over 27 regional "Warfare through Worship" gatherings that attracted anywhere from 6 to 17 churches in participation, we are excited to now launch "The New Hampshire Challenge" on the "Fifth Fridays" until revival breaks.

Our County Coordinators are beginning to contact churches and ministries within their counties to encourage participation.  Our next "Fifth Friday" is Jan. 30th.  We're encouraging all NH Christians to gather with other Christians to pray for revival on that night.  Let fervent prayer be offered in churches, homes and ministry headquarters for revival in the church and a harvest among unbelievers.

Three words echoed in the hearts and minds of believers in Edwards day in preparing for these gatherings:  visible, united and joyful.  We are impressed to add a fourth: generous.

Therefore, on Jan. 30, 2009, may Christians throughout the State of NH gather for the purpose of united prayer for revival.  Many venues all on the same night asking God to move in a fresh way in this "Granite State".  May our gatherings be visible, united, joyful and generous.  We think it wise, as did Edwards, not to have preaching at these gatherings, and we encourage offerings be taken to help the poor and disadvantaged.

Please let us know if you are organizing an event so we can count you in and record it on our website.  Our mutual faith will be encouraged as we track our progress over the coming year.  In the "Discussion Forums" section of the website, you'll be able to record your thoughts, prayers, insights and encouragements. Stay tuned.  Better yet - get involved!
