21 Days to See a Strategic Shift in America
"Lord, teach us to pray!" (Luke 11:1)
A local pastor passed on this information for a unified prayer effort from December 18, 2007 - January 7, 2008, as we prepare for the upcoming elections. It is a simple premise that specifically targets an area each day.
DAY 1
Dec 18
Read I Tim 2:1-5
Remind yourself of the reason to pray for our leaders, present and future. Rejoice that when you do this, you are following the example of the Lord Jesus, our Mediator.
DAY 2
Dec 19
Read Romans 13:1-5
Ask God to establish His chosen servants in the coming year. Pray that a new spirit of godly submission to authority will increase in the Body of Christ.
DAY 3
Dec 20
Read Romans 11:33-36
Praise God for His unsearchable wisdom. Ask Him to do a new thing in the coming election season, not matter what the "experts" predict.
DAY 4
Dec 21
Read Romans 11:29, Isaiah 44:24-28
Pray that those whom God wants in office will respond to His calling, and not faint because of the difficulty of the times and the intensity of the task.
DAY 5
Dec. 22
Read Isaiah 45:1-7
Pray that God's called-out leaders will acknowledge Him. Ask God to reassure those leaders that He will go before them.
DAY 6
Dec. 23
Read Romans 5:1-5
Ask God to renew hope among His people. Declare that the cynicism and defeatism that clings to us will yield to the God of hope and peace.
DAY 7
Dec. 24
Read Romans 7:7-12
Spend time meditating on verse 12. Pray and trust God for a sweeping move of holiness in our land, that will defeat the power of lawlessness. This will defeat any anti-christ spirits at work.
DAY 8
Dec. 25
Read Romans 9:1-5
God has a purpose for our nation, as he does for the nation of Israel. Pray that His purposes will be come clear to us as we pray during this season, so that our prayers may become focused and strategic. Ask Him to give you a burden for our nation's people.
DAY 9
Dec. 26

Pray that God will help us see that time is short. Declare that you will be guided by eternity's values in the elections. Speak over your family that they, too, will be guided by the importance of the eternal.
DAY 10
Dec. 27
Read I Corinthians 10:6-11
Ask God to defeat the tide of immorality and grumbling that threatens our nation's reaching its purpose. Pray that God's people will gain new insight and power from the Old Testament this year.
DAY 11
Dec. 28
Read II Corinthians 10:3-5
Pray that God's people will war in this election season with Him weapons. Declare that every stronghold that keeps you from seeing His working in the political process will be broken. Memorize II Cor. 10:7. Agree with God that you will accept His perspective on your city, state and nation.
DAY 12
Dec. 29
Read II Corinthians 11:14-15
Ask God to reveal the servants of Satan for who they really are. Review Acts 12:20-24. One byproduct of God's people interceding is that evil is seen for what it truly is, proud and corrupt.
DAY 13
Dec. 30
Read II Corinthians 12:11-12; Hebrews 13:7,8,17
